All ICL Performance Products LP phosphates, both FCC and technical grade, used in the treatment of potable water have completed the NSF International certification process and meet the requirements of ANSI/NSF Standard 60.
Phosphates are used to prevent “red” or “black” water and to prevent and/or retard scale formation and corrosion in the water distribution system. Orthophosphates alone, and in combination with condensed phosphates, are utilized to reduce the level of soluble lead and copper in potable water delivered to the consumers’ tap. Industrial Water Treatment Phosphates are used to control scale formation in condensers, heat exchangers, pipelines and boilers. Effective water treatment must be individually determined for each specific application. Treatment is a function of the phosphate used, other agents added as part of the treatment package, water hardness and operating conditions. |
